JC 320 — Funeral services Funeral services: mandatory meal vouchers from 1 July 2026

Mandatory from 01/07/2026

The 2025-2026 sectoral agreement for JC 320 makes meal vouchers mandatory across the entire sector. Two situations: companies that do not yet grant them must introduce them at €3.09 per day worked; those that already grant them must increase their employer contribution by €0.75. A measure that concerns both blue- and white-collar workers across the sector's some 500 companies.

Your challenges

Sound familiar?

Struggling to attract and retain your employees?

The funeral sector faces growing competition to attract committed profiles. Meal vouchers are a concrete lever to strengthen your teams' purchasing power and your employer attractiveness.

Unsure which situation applies to your company?

The measure follows two tracks depending on whether you already grant meal vouchers. An incorrect classification exposes you to undercompliance risk. You must first precisely identify your starting point.

Is the 1 July 2026 deadline approaching?

All JC 320 companies must comply by 1 July 2026. Failing to comply with a mandatory sectoral CBA carries legal risk and potential penalties.

Key measures

What applies to your sector

+€0.75 increase for the others

Companies that already grant meal vouchers must increase their employer contribution by €0.75 per day worked. One measure, two tracks depending on your starting point.

Companies that already applied a meal voucher increase earlier in 2026 may deduct it from the mandatory +€0.75 increase. Document the exact dates and amounts to substantiate the deduction.

Applies to blue- and white-collar workers

The measure applies equally to blue- and white-collar workers in JC 320, which covers around 5,000 workers across some 500 companies: funeral homes, cemeteries and crematoria.

You must introduce them by 1 July 2026 at the latest, at a minimum face value of €3.09 per day worked, of which €2.00 from the employer and €1.09 from the employee.

I already grant meal vouchers: what is my obligation?

You must increase your employer contribution by €0.75 per day worked by 1 July 2026. If you already applied an increase earlier in 2026, you may deduct it from this obligation.

Does the measure apply to both blue- and white-collar workers?

Yes. The obligation applies equally to blue- and white-collar workers covered by JC 320, which encompasses funeral homes, cemeteries and crematoria.
