HelloFresh in a nutshell?
HelloFresh is the easy solution to avoid the daily question: “What’s for dinner tonight?”
You choose:
- The number of people (solo, couple, family…)
- The number of meals per week
- You select your menu from a wide variety of options: veggie, meat, fish, “quick” recipes, lighter meals, family-friendly dishes…
- You schedule the delivery whenever it suits you.
HelloFresh takes care of the rest: fresh ingredients, perfectly measured quantities, and varied, tasty and accessible recipes designed to be easily prepared at home (even on a weekday evening).
Good to know: HelloFresh works on a subscription basis, so one-time orders are not possible. Of course, you can cancel your subscription at any time.
Paying HelloFresh with Monizze: how it works
Step 1: Unlock your “key” (only once in the Monizze app)
To add Monizze as a payment method on HelloFresh, you first need to activate your Monizze Virtual Visa card (it’s new!) in the Monizze app.
You cannot use the details of your regular physical Monizze card.
In the Monizze app, on the home screen, you’ll see a HelloFresh banner.
If it’s greyed out, it simply means your Virtual Visa card hasn’t been activated yet.
Click on the banner and follow the activation steps.
Once your Monizze Virtual Visa card is activated, you’ll receive a confirmation by email and push notification.
⏱️ Activation can take up to 60 minutes.
📱Your card details remain accessible at any time in the Monizze app → Card.
✅ Good news: you only need to activate it once.
To remember
- The Monizze Virtual Visa card is 100% digital and different from your physical Monizze card
- It is linked to your meal voucher balance
- For now, it only works with HelloFresh
Step 2: On HelloFresh, choose… VISA (yes, VISA)
On HelloFresh or in the HelloFresh app:
- Go to your account / payment settings
- Add a new payment method
- Select VISA
- Enter the details of your Monizze Virtual Visa card
(you’ll find them in the Monizze app → Card) - Save
That’s it! Your boxes will now be paid automatically with your meal vouchers.
Tip: Make sure your order amount does not exceed your meal voucher balance.

“I don’t see ‘meal vouchers’ on HelloFresh… is there a bug?”
No worries, it’s normal. On HelloFresh, you need to select VISA as the payment method to add Monizze.
“Can I use my Monizze Virtual Visa card on other websites?”
Not yet. For now, it only works with HelloFresh, but more shops are coming.
“What happens if I don’t have enough meal vouchers on my account?”
HelloFresh charges your meal vouchers weekly. If you expect your order to exceed your balance, make sure to change your payment method in advance for that delivery.
